BAHT Level II Thumb
27 November, 2019 - 29 November, 2019
BAHT Level II – The Thumb
NES are delighted that in 2019 they will be launching a new topic for Level II. This course is aimed at therapists who have a keen interest in the thumb and meet the BAHT eligibility criteria (having two years hand therapy experience or having passed a BAHT Level I course).
The course content includes anatomy and assessment of the thumb as well as workshops on common modalities before moving to specific pathologies. The conditions covered include injuries to tendons, tendonopathies, nerve injuries and compressions, fractures and ligament injuries as well as OA and RA. Splinting the thumb is notoriously difficult and time will be spent clinically reasoning a wide variety of solutions.
The course will take place in London. Applications will open in early 2019 and you will be able to pay by Paypal, cheque or by BACS transfer. The programme is listed below. A reading list, aims and further booking information will be available soon
