BAHT Level II: The Thumb
NES are delighted that in 2019 they will be launching a new topic for Level II. This course is aimed at therapists who have a keen interest in the thumb and meet the BAHT eligibility criteria (having two years hand therapy experience or having passed a BAHT Level I course).
The course content includes anatomy and assessment of the thumb as well as workshops on common modalities before moving to specific pathologies. The conditions covered include injuries to tendons, tendonopathies, nerve injuries and compressions, fractures and ligament injuries as well as OA and RA. Splinting the thumb is notoriously difficult and time will be spent clinically reasoning a wide variety of solutions.
The course is now full with a long waiting list. The November course will be held at Finchley Progressive Synagogue. NOT at either Alyth or St Stephens as incorrectly listed elsewhere. For instructions how to get to the venue and local accommodation, please see our Downloads section. Looking forward to seeing you then. The documents regarding the course in November, for those who have places, can be found on the “Resources”, “Downloads” section accessible from the home page of our website. We look forward to seeing you soon
We hope to repeat the course in 2020. Please watch this space for information!
