BAHT Level II Thumb
27 November - 29 November
BAHT Level II – The Thumb
NES are delighted that in 2019 they will be launching a new topic for Level II. This course is aimed at therapists who have a keen interest in the thumb and meet the BAHT eligibility criteria (having two years hand therapy experience or having passed a BAHT Level I course).
The course content includes anatomy and assessment of the thumb as well as workshops on common modalities before moving to specific pathologies. The conditions covered include injuries to tendons, tendonopathies, nerve injuries and compressions, fractures and ligament injuries as well as OA and RA. Splinting the thumb is notoriously difficult and time will be spent clinically reasoning a wide variety of solutions.
The course is now full with a long waiting list. We hope to repeat the course in 2020. Please watch this space for information! The information about the course content and aims remain below plus the accommodation and venue information for the November course.
In the meantime while you wait for the next time we run the BAHT Level II Thumb course, why not try our online modules…
