This course covers the anatomy and function of the thumb and all the major pathologies with their management strategies. The content combines both traumatic injuries and acquired conditions. Clinical reasoning will be emphasised. Therapists with a pass at BAHT Level I or two years experience in hand therapy are eligible for this course.
Anyone may apply but priority will be given to HSE / public sector employees in Ireland as the course is part-subsidised by the HSE. The course is for OTs and physios and being hosted by the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland.
